Green Land Pré Vert International School is authorized by The International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) making it amongst 4,500 schools, world wide, to provide the three IB programmes:
Primary Years Programme (IBPYP 3–11-years-old),
Until this day, GPIS is the only school in Egypt authorized to provide the three IB programs in French and English from K to 12.

GPIS PRINCIPALS & HEADS
Françoise Bencteux
Françoise holds a B.A. in French Literature from the University of Lille III, in France. In 1994, Françoise co founded GPIS with her husband and is a member of the board. Since then, she is the PYP principal and the PYP coordinator, overviewing the implementation of the Primary Years Programme in both campuses, Giza and Zayed. Françoise is a member of the IB Educators Network (IBEN), working with the IB as a workshop leader, IB school visitor, Evaluation Leader, Programme Leader, Chair of Multi Programmed and/or Synchronized Visits, online facilitator, curriculum developer, consultant and reader. She taught the PYP, MYP and DP and became a Certified Positive Discipline Classroom Educator and Certified Positive Discipline Parent Educator.
May Waly
May holds a BA in Economics from the American University in Cairo and an MA in International Education Management from University of Ludgwisburg, Germany. She is a member of the IBEN, working with the IB as school consultant, workshop leader, school team leader, personal project examiner and reader. Ms. May joined GPIS in 1994 as the Head of the School administration then as the Head of Middle school and the MYP coordinator, leading the school to the MYP authorization in 2004. She is responsible for the implementation and development of the MYP in the school.
Mona Khalil
Mona holds a Bachelor degree in Accounting from Cairo University and a diploma in Education Leadership from the American University in Cairo. She is a member of IBEN working with the IB as a school consultant; workshop leader, Chair of school visits and a Programme Leader. Ms. Khalil joined GPIS in 1996 as the Head of Administration and Finance, then the Head of Early Years in Nursery Giza, and then moved to the Diploma Department. She is now the High School Principal and the IBDP Coordinator.
Mona is responsible for ensuring the implementation and development of the IB Diploma in GPIS in alignment with the IB philosophy while keeping the school identity.
Nelly Darwich
Nelly Darwish holds an MA in International Education Management from PH Ludwigsburg University, Germany. She is a member of IBEN Educators network, working with the IBO as a workshop leader, a school visitor, Programme leader and a member of the PYP Pedagogical Leadership team. Throughout the 25+ years of experience in the field of education, Nelly believes that each child is a unique individual who needs a secure, caring, and stimulating atmosphere in which to grow and mature emotionally, intellectually, physically, and socially.
Abdel Rahman Saleh
Schools Administration Director
Abdel Rahman holds a Bachelor’s degrees in Business Administration from Cairo University. He joined GPIS in 1997 and now he is the Head of Administration for both school campuses. Abdel Rahman strives to sustain continuous progress and development in both school campuses, through collaboration and coordination of his team. He works on creating a professional community with the staff, to fulfill the school objective and Mission Statement in making the world a better place.
Nehal Wanas
Nehal holds a Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine and Surgery, a Masters degree in Virology, and an M.Ed. in International Education from AIC - American International College, Springfield- Massachusetts. She is a member of the International Baccalaureate Educators Network (IBEN) as a school consultant, workshop leader, team leader, and reader. Nehal joined GPIS in 2003 as a PYP homeroom teacher; she currently holds the position of the PYP Head of English department (elementary years) and the IBPYP Academic Manager.
Gulnar Etman
Head of English Department - Early Years
Gulnar holds a BA in English Arts from the Faculty of Arts, English Department, Cairo University. She has been an IBEN member since 2010, working with the IB as school consultant, workshop leader, school team leader, school team member, programme leader and a reader. Gulnar joined GPIS in 1994 as a teacher. Later she became a leader, then the Deputy of the Head of Education, leading the English department in the Early Years. Currently, she’s the Head of the English department (Early Years), and she’s responsible for the implementation and development of the PYP in Early Years.
Hala El Zoghby
Quality Director
Hala holds a Bachelor’s and a Masters Degrees in Business Administration from the American University in Cairo. GPIS has been implementing the standard ISO 9001 for more than 25 years, 20+ of which she spearheaded the quality function towards continual improvement of the school’s management system and the achievement of the school’s mission and quality objectives. The quality department Hala heads, is responsible for monitoring the quality management system inputs, reviews, and reports towards organizational effectiveness. This is achieved through four main functions; strategic planning, process design, internal audit, and management of customer feedback.
Racha Nassar
Early Years Director- School Giza
Racha holds a bachelor’s degree from the faculty of Arts, French department. Racha joined GPIS in 1995 as a teacher, then she became the students affairs officer. Afterwards, she became the Head of Administration in Nursery Giza. Racha has been working with the early years age group for more than 25 years. She has a diploma in Nursery Management from Notting Hills College.
Hamed Mokhtar
Development Manager
Hamed holds a BA in Civil Engineering from Cairo university and an MA in International Education from University of Bath, United Kingdom. He is a member of IBEN working with the IB as workshop leader, senior examiner, and author. He is also school visitor and consultant. Mr. Hamed joined GPIS in 2003 as Mathematics teacher and then had the role of Mathematics supervisor. In addition, he is now the development manager; responsible for the development of teachers, in particularly DP teachers, and responsible of the continuum across different programs.
